A 50 word abstract to be included in the Souvenir Program Book--include title, name(s) & affiliation(s) of all presenters;

A detailed synopsis with the title and type of presentation, limited to two {2} typed pages. This will be used for the anonymous review. Please Do Not include presenter’s name{s};

For all presentations of 2 hours or more please include a two {2}-page vitae for each presenter and a time outline/breakdown

Presentation Descriptions:
-
Professional Development Workshops impart skill and knowledge for integration into clinical practice. These workshops are scheduled for one and one half hour (1 1/2), three (3) or four (4) hours, including a question and answer period, completion of pre and post questionnaires, and scheduled breaks when appropriate.
Symposia are formatted to allow the interchange and/or discussion of ideas relevant to the convention theme (Not paper-reading sessions). These sessions are scheduled for two hours (120 minutes) including questions and pre and post questionnaires.
Think Tanks focus on critical issues of relevance to psychologists and involve an exchange of ideas between participants and presenter(s). These sessions are scheduled for two hours (120 minutes) including questions and answers and completion of pre and post questionnaires.
Paper sessions focus on the author’s contribution to clinical practice, research and/or theory as developed for formal presentation. The paper session is scheduled for fifty (50) minutes including questions. Note: Papers on similar topics may be grouped together by the program committee in which case the sessions may or may not be extended.

Poster sessions focus on the presentation of the author’s contribution to research or/or theory through illustrative materials displayed on posters. Posters will be on display throughout the length of the convention. The presenter provides all needed materials and remains with his/her poster during specific times of the convention so that viewers may have the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas.
Workshops, think tanks and symposia proposals that contribute to the clinical practice of licensed psychologists and other mental health professionals’ ability to improve client well being are eligible for submission for Mandatory Continuing Education for Psychologists (MCEU) and Continuing Education Units (CEU). The ABPsi, Education & Training Committee together with the conference Program Committee will determine CEU eligibility and forward all necessary documents to the appropriate State Board(s) of Psychology for their approval. To have proposal considered for MCEU or CEU’s, the Workshop and CEU Proposal Worksheet must be completed and returned with the packet.

Presenter Notes:
- AV materials ALL AV NEEDS MUST BE SPECIFIED IN ADVANCE. A limited number of AV materials (flip charts, LCD’s, overheads, etc.) will be available for a rental fee. Please Indicate Specific AV Needs on the Abstract Cover Sheet.
- Abstract Proposal Packet - Please send the COMPLETE abstract proposal packet to: conference@abpsi.org. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL SUBMISSION PACKETS MUST BE SENT ELECTRONICALLY NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 28, 2008. THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSIONS OR EXCEPTIONS. Incomplete packets and those received after the deadline will not be considered. Acceptance will be determined by the Program Committee based on reviewers’ recommendations and program needs.
