Fundraising Committee Chair:
Felicia J. Shelley-Haroon
Peace Family,
My name is Felicia J. Shelley-Haroon and I am the Fundraising Chair for the ABPsi Student Circle. I am currently a doctoral student majoring in Family Therapy. My goal is to become a researcher and professor. My research interests include African American family functioning, parenting, and substance abuse prevention/intervention as it relates to the family.
As the Fundraising Chair, I am charged with leading the efforts to generate monetary resources to support the Student Circle's success as an African centered action orientated psychological organization. I will work with this committee to create and implement fundraising projects in an effort to generate revenue to fund the Student
Circle's programming and activities. It is my hope that the fundraising for this year will exceed previous year's revenue and provide innovative new ways to make the ABPsi student circle flourish financially.
I would like to invite student participation in planning and implanting the fundraising activities for the 2007-2008 school year. These activities include the 2008 Annual
International Convention being held August 11 - 16, 2008 in Oakland, CA. Please review the list of planning committees below and let me know if you are interested in participating.
- 1. Local chapter fundraising events
- 2. Online fundraising activities
- 3. Convention product sales
- 4. Convention fundraising event
